Greetings, Lake Enthusiasts! We want to express our gratitude for your ongoing support. Being part of such an incredible community is truly an honor, and we couldn't have come this far without you.
To facilitate easier access for new supporters, we've renamed our Facebook group to SaveLakeChatuge.org. Our team, along with Mountain True, is actively vetting vendors and scrutinizing contracts. Our aim is to finalize our vendor and plan within the next two weeks, or even sooner. Given the scale of this project, we're committed to selecting the best plan and maximizing the use of our funds. We appreciate your understanding and patience throughout this process.
We've received reports of Parrot Feather sightings outside the original treatment area, which are currently being verified by Mountain True. If you suspect any sightings, please contact tony@mountaintrue.org immediately. Once we meet our goal for the current treatment plan, we'll continue fundraising to ensure all new occurrences can be addressed. Any surplus funds from this season's treatment will be maintained by Mountain True for future treatments. We're actively seeking grants and other funding opportunities for future endeavors as well.
We're excited to announce two upcoming events aimed at raising awareness, donations, and celebrating our collective progress:
1. On March 8th, join us for a Pirates & Parrots themed dinner, featuring live music and an auction at the Ridges. Details on how to reserve your spot will be available on our Facebook page and the Ridges Resort page soon.
2. On May 26th, we'll host a concert with local bands, along with an auction and a 50/50 raffle at the Sand Bar.
